We Help Houses started for a simple reason: we needed help, and the options we needed didn't exist.
— David, Founder of We Help Houses

Loss of income. Behind on payments. Facing auction. Lowball offers from investors. Agents who didn't understand and only saw a commission. Attorneys who specialized in one field and couldn't see the bigger picture. Rentals with tenants who'd destroyed the home's value. Family homes with no one to turn to and too much upkeep to manage. I've seen it all.
And because I've seen it, I've tried it all. I started a non-profit housing counseling agency after the Great Financial Crisis — but that path was full of restrictions and limitations that ended up helping the banks more than the homeowners. I bought problem properties directly from owners at fair prices, with real added assistance — but I couldn't reach enough people. I opened a real estate brokerage to bring the expertise most agents didn't have — it helped, but regulations and business-as-usual still left homeowners with limited options.
So what were we to do? We decided to take the best of each and leave behind the parts that didn't work. There are great ways to help, and great professionals who provide amazing services — but no one was making sure homeowners saw the complete picture of their options, then connecting them to every service that could actually help.
That's the gap we fill: empowering homeowners to make the best choice for themselves, then bringing the right people to the table and standing with them through the whole process.
So that's what we do. We take the tough problems a homeowner is facing and make sure they have someone who's been there too — and knows exactly what to do.
